Christmas Nutrition

Can you believe its almost Christmas already? It's that time of year where we are surrounded by food and almost every social gathering will involve food and/or alcohol. Gaining a few pounds over Christmas is easily done without much effort despite continuing to train or exercise as watching portion sizes and ensuring you avoid a positive energy balance (read more on energy balance here) can be challenging. I designed this poster with some advice for the British Handball team and the tips and advice apply to almost any athlete or anyone wanting to watch their weight over the festive period.


Portion sizes are also key to ensuring you don't gain weight so follow this simple guide below. There is some basic advice on immunity below but I have written a more detailed post on immunity here.
